OSMA Annual Meeting Event Cancelled

The Ohio State Medical Association’s Annual Meeting scheduled for March 20-22 in Columbus, Ohio has been CANCELLED.

The decision is based entirely on the coronavirus/COVID-19 pandemic that has imperiled our state, country and entire world. We are heeding an order from Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine to avoid gatherings of over 100 people, and placing the safety of you, meeting attendees and guests as our highest priority.

We are working with our leadership to find alternate ways to conduct official OSMA business that was slated to be addressed during the Physician Meeting. We will follow up with members of the House of Delegates with more details soon. We also plan to host a webinar with representatives from the Department of Health regarding COVID-19 in the coming weeks.

If you paid for the Presidents' dinner/dance or sponsored a medical student, we will issue you a full refund.

If you made your own hotel reservation, it is your responsibility to contact the Hilton directly to cancel room reservations at this time. Please call 614-414-5000 to do so.

It is highly important that we all respect the advice of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Ohio Department of Health and take this pandemic seriously. Please restrict all non-essential travel, limit close physical contact, and practice good hygiene habits, including frequent handwashing and disinfecting common surfaces.

For more information, including guidance for how the medical community should appropriately respond to this pandemic, please visit, www.coronavirus.ohio.gov.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Please email OSMA or call 614-527-6762 if you have questions about the event or need additional information.
