Continued Flexibility for Medicare Regulations, Telehealth, and HIPAA

The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) extended the public health emergency for another 90 days through October 23, 2020.

With the continuation of the public health emergency, numerous flexibilities and waivers still remain in effect, including:

• Expansion of Medicare Telehealth Coverage
  
  
• Relaxed Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPPA) requirements
