2021 Coding & Documentation Updates:
Keep up to date with the latest coding, documentation and rule changes for your practice and specialty. Increase your confidence in compliant coding and documentation, and support appropriate reimbursement for the services you perform. The new E/M guidelines are emphasized in these webinars.
Major Changes to E/M Coding & Documentation:
Extensive changes to the Evaluation / Management (E/M) guidelines went into effect on Jan. 1, 2021. These include an extensive E/M guideline additions, revisions, and restructuring; deletion of code 99201 and revision of codes 99202–99215; code level selection should be based on medical decision-making (MDM) or total time on the date of the encounter; and creation of a 15-minute prolonged service code to be reported only when the visit is based on time and after the total time of the highest-level service (e.g., 99205, 99215) has been exceeded. Although the history and physical exam elements are recorded, they do not factor into the level of service.

Comprehensive & Collaborative Care for Healthy Lifestyle Management & Diabetes
A no-cost, 12-month, 24-session program with CME/CEU credits. Beginning 2/8/2021 participants will meet over Zoom Video Conferencing for 1-hour every 2nd and 4th Monday. This program is designed to connect providers to a community of your peers and subject-matter experts to address patients’ complex health needs related to diabetes and healthy lifestyle management using a holistic, multidisciplinary team approach. All providers working in primary care settings (especially in federally qualified health centers) are encouraged to join and participate.
Education opportunities for clinicians about the COVID-19 vaccines:
At learntovaccinate.org there are several webinar activities posted by accredited organizations. Clinicians can search by topic, organization, type of credit (AMA PRA, nursing, pharmacy, interprofessional), and format. In addition to the scientific basis and history of the COVID-19 vaccines, the materials also help clinicians learn how to effectively implement and safely deploy a vaccination strategy in their communities and address this national health crisis..
