National Men’s Health Month – Member Offers Tips for Male Health

Not only is June a time to celebrate fathers and father-figures. For the healthcare community, it is a time to recognize National Men’s Health Month and raise awareness about the importance of regular healthcare screenings and healthy habits for men and boys everywhere.

The demands of everyday life – from work to family – can take a toll on men’s health in a variety of ways. And with the COVID-19 pandemic resulting in delayed health screenings for millions of American males, plus its impact on mental health, it is now more important than ever for men to prioritize their health.

As part of Men’s Health Month, we asked psychiatrist Dr. Alan Levy, MD, an OSMA member since 1984, to share his tips for how men can live their healthiest lives and be aware of the screenings needed for early detection and treatment of preventable diseases.
